This was our first cruise on Scenic. Friends from Canada asked us to join them. The highlight of our trip was our tour director- Dara Chhung. We first met him in Ho chi Minh and left him in Siem Reap. He was an excellent director, extremely knowledgeable in local history and customs, very customer oriented and willing to talk about everyday life. He got to know his tour group and was always ready with a helping hand or willing to take a picture.

He truly made the trip a great experience.

the ship itself was excellent, comfortable quiet room with a great bed , and a friendly staff. Our butler was checking constantly to see if we needed anything. The least impressive part of the cruise was the dining room. My husband and I cannot eat seafood. this was relayed through our TA before the cruise and told to Dara when we met him. He mad sure on all our shore meals that we had the correct food. On board, the Chef didn't seem to care. I spoke to him the first day, and he said he'd take care of things. We were invited to one of the special dinners , and half the courses were seafood. When we mentioned it to him, it was like he;d never heard it before. Then grand finale dinner on board, we could eat the appetizer and the palate cleanser and that was it. Although we mentioned it to our waiter, there were no alternatives presented. This really did sour us on the dining room.

Cabin Review

Cabin RD

excellent bed, large cabin, great bathroom. Only disappointing part was the lack of screens on the windows. It would be nice to sleep with windows open, but couldn't do it with no screens. overall wonderful service in cabin.
