Travelling for the first time outside of Canada at the age of sixteen made this quite the experience. Not knowing what could possibly in store for me on this wild adventure. December 2008 leaving Canada with my best friend and her family for a vacation that i had been saving up for all year long! My friends family are frequent cruises lucky enough to go on about 4 or 5 a year, but for me this was my first time even on a airplane! Spending two days prior to the cruise in Miami was a great way to start this experience, shopping all day at bayside mall and eatin lunch and dinner down by the pier following a day in South Beach to start our tans. In south beach we lounged by the beach did some shopping and found the legendary tattoo studio MIAMI INK! This was such a great way to start the vacation and i didn't know how it could possibly get better. Packing up from our hotel and taking a short taxi ride to the Carnival port everything was finally getting so surreal to me, fortunately we had VIP check in and were the first family to step foot onto this monstrous ship. Scoping out the ship and enjoying some snacks at the buffet i felt like i was in a dream, lounging on the lido deck was so enjoyable and fun. And of course keeping our eyes peeled for some teenage boys! Once our room was ready we got changed and her parents had surprise us with a balcony room such a nice treat. After an amazing dinner trying many things off the menu and of course becoming instantly addicted to WARM CHOCOLATE MELTING CAKE dinner had come to an end and we decided to head up to Club 02 to meet some new friends. Within a matter of seconds we meet some cool new people and headed to the hot tub and had a great night sharing stories and getting to know each other. A funny fact was that we were the only two teenage girls and everyone else was guys so that was kind of fun! Dancing the night away on the lido deck playing games and learning about each other we had already created a great bond. And of course those american boys telling us that us canadian chicks say eh? a lot ! which we still dont think is true. After a night filled with fun it was time to day goodnight and get ready for a whole new day. Days at sea and at ports were filled with fun, friends and laughs, at sea we got involved with many things on the boat, saw the most amazing shows and even tried to get hypnotized on stage. My friend and i went up on stage during the hypnosis show and got asked to leave the stage because it wouldnt work on us! how embarrassing that was a cool experience that we couldve had though! My favorite part of on deck fun was the colors party at the end when each level was a different color and we had contest like singing and dancing it was so much fun. My favorite port of call had to be st marten we just lounged by the beach all day and jumped on the water trampolines it was so hot that i got heat stroke and ended up sick on the last day of the cruise. St Thomas was fun as well we went snorkeling and on the catamaran for an excursion which was beautiful. Puerto Rico old san juan was a cool experience but it was boring because it was night time and all we did was walk around but the architecture was gorgeous and theres a lot of history and stuff to learn in that port. This cruise was such an amazing time out last night was very sad to say goodbye to all the friends we have met while we exchanged emails, facebooks and myspaces to keep in touch because we made such great friendships in one week. Leaving was such a bummer because i didnt want to return home to snow and the cruise was one of the best times of my life. This year i hope to have the same experience on the carnival glory which i am leaving for in a few days , i will write a review as soon as i return and i hope i have as much fun as i did on the triumph. Great cruise for he entire family and it was something i will never be able to forget. :)

Cabin Review

Not very much storage because we were 5 people but we still managed quite well. The last day i got heat stroke and was stuck in bed all day and the service was still great they brought me gingerale and crackers trying to make me feel better. Our room unfortunately could not be cleaned because i was in there all day but the second i left they were in there to clean it up. It was fantastic cleaning and they were so nice. The beds were so comfortable even though i had to sleep on the cot on the floor most of the time!
