This was our 3rd cruise with P & O ship Azura doing the Caribbean cruise in early part of the year. But regret to say nowhere near as good as previous cruises. P & O have gone down a lot in our opinion. Our main gripe was the service and quality of food served the evening restaurant. The attitude of some of the waiters (not all) left a lot to be desired. It would have been nice if some of them smiled once in a while, and realise that it was us who were paying their wages and not them doing us a favour! The quality of the food has also deteriorated too. Take for example the prawn cocktail offered every night as a starter. The prawns were very small, chewy, watery and tasteless. These are cooking prawns at their best. I tried the salmon, only once, when it was so dry I could not eat it. Then again a very poor quality of salmon - certainly not Scottish or Norwegian Salmon, probably Canadian or Japanese. On one occasion my wife left most of her meal, and the meal was just taken away, not a word from the waiter if the meal was ok or not? another example of a couldn't care less attitude from the waiting staff. Whether or not it was the attitude of the waiters, I do not know, but our meals regularly took over 2 hours to serve. If we arrived just after 6.30 it was nearly impossible to make the 8.30 show in the theatre without forgoing the coffee etc. I must add that the greeting staff at the entrance to the restaurant were very polite.

The quality of the food for lunch in the upstairs restaurants was nowhere as good as last two years either. Again poor quality food - e.g. watery tinned ham Last year it was 'proper' ham.

The cabin was first class and very clean. The cabin attendant excellent. Nothing too much trouble.
