View from room 8628 - obs view. (The pic is upside down?)
Roatan - with the Dawn in the bay. - Tender port. ( pic is up side dn?)

Wanted to try going out of Tampa & sailing under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. So we did.

It was a revisit to the NCL Dawn & the scheduled ports, except NCL visits their own port in Belize & we made it to Costa Maya this time. (Last time we skipped it because a hurricane had not). We've never had a bad cruise. Food's always wonderful, they clean your room, wash your clothes, entertain you, all while basking in the lap of luxury & sunshine. What's not to like. - The one incident where a loud, fowl mouthed, drunk was seat near by at dinner in the main dining rm. I watched as staff pulled as far away from the area as they could. I called the maitre d over & he offered to move us, 'tho we were 3/4 the way through our dinner. They obviuosly didn't want to disturb the cursing drunk as he berated his female companion. That was the 1st nite of the cruise. We ate in the specialty restaurants all but 1 nite after that.

The boarding in Tampa was the worst we've experienced. This was caused by late clearance by inland security of the previous cruise. Once the departing passengers & luggage had left things looked up & we were wisked aboard & the cabin was already with the luggage following quickly behind.

Cabin Review

Obstructed Oceanview

Cabin OK

Well appointed & I really appreciated the extras installed which assisted my mobility & allowed me to be self sufficient in the bath room. The view is as good as can be in this rm cat. With nothing in the way of seeing the ocean, or the maintainance of the life boats.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

Rented A $250 Cabana. I expected this NCL island to be the same as Havest Caye with food & drinks included/ covered by udp (or whatever unlimited drink package is called) - nothing ashore is included. Very Poor service at the cabana. No vouchers delivered to the stateroom as promised. Slack once ashore - “what cabana do you want?” Ya I think your name is on our list. My wife & sister-in-law never were given wrist bands. Our Florida Condo offers such amenities- at a lower price - you could be anywhere. It's nice & my wife loved it but it's not Belize. No snorkeling, ocean is cloudy, no reef off the beach. Pool less than 5’ deep - generally 3’. Nice for sitting at the bar.
