The ship while docked
This is one of the activities on the ship. Ifly

We chose this cruise because of the destination and the ports of call. We spent three nights in Sydney before embarkation and one tip is take cloths for all seasons to Sydney. We packed for summer and froze.

On the day of embarkation it was a mess as A did not know what B was doing and it was a bad experience. Disembarkation was no better and will think twice about travelling from an Australian port in the future.

We felt that the ship was just too big and impersonal. I've been on several cruises and never have I experienced such movement of the ship before. There was no real spot to go other than your cabin to find a quiet spot to read or just to chill out. The cabin was just a standard cabin with a balcony and nothing much. The layout though was not as good as other ships. The wardrobe I felt was wanting as it was too small. As for the dining it was like sitting in a large room with no atmosphere. The bistro was good for the food, but it was closed most of the time and only opens for a few hours at a time over the meal times and closed for the night at 9pm. This meant that you had to go to one of the cafes in the shopping area. It meant that you could not have a view while having a late night cuppa. It was better going to your cabin to have it. So missing out on meeting people. One thing in their favour was the fact that they supplied a kettle (Jug) so that you could make your own cuppa if you wanted.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Obstructed Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin DO

The cabin was standard. The balcony was also standard, although we had an obstructed view. Will never have one of them again. I think looking over the top of the life boats is horrible. The wardrobe was not as I had expected and would have been better as the older ships have them. The cloths did not hang properly and they were not big enough.

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

We stayed in the heart of Sydney at the Rocks, which was walking distance to the cruise terminal. That area was great to walk around and also "circular Quay was great for travel to other areas of sydney, such as Bondi and Manly.

Wellington

Did our own thing in Wellington. Just walked around and took the cable care to the peak
