Enjoyed this cruise very much. Embarkation went smoothly. Did not have to wait long to board the ship. This was our first time on the Getaway, but not with NCL. Did not disappoint. Loved that you were able to walk around the ship from the Waterfront. Only down side was the smoking area, but smokers do need a place to smoke. Was not that bad walking past. Had read several reviews regarding the casino area with regards to smoking. Never had an issue at all. Our cabin was mid ship 10th floor. Our steward Cris kept our room clean and of course always love the towel animals. We tried the Taste and Savor dining rooms. Never waited long for a server and when we did get our food was always hot and delicious. We also ate at O'Sheehan's several times. Food was very good, hot and delicious. My husband loved their burgers. We had our breakfast and lunch at the Garden Café. There was always a big variety to choose from,.and of course the ice cream. Daily ritual. Tried the Gelato station. Even though this was extra enjoyed the ice cream. The only specialty restaurant we ate at was Cagney's. Twice. Both times our server Jackson was awesome. We had one night on the waterfront. Watched the sun going down. Loved that. Second time inside with the same server who remembered us from several days previously. We went to both the Million Dollar Quartet (twice) and Burn the Floor (twice). Worth seeing. The Sunshine Duo and International Groove were our favorite musical acts. Always love their game shows, very entertaining. We did a back to back and never got bored. Pool area was congested on sea days, but always found a spot in the sun. Never cared if it was close to pool or not. Noisy there.They need to do more with people reserving chairs and never returning. There should be a time limit and enforced. Whether we were at the Guest Service area, Cruise Next or Shore Excursion areas, never had any complaints. They were very nice and willing to help. We did Shore excursions to Roatan-Big French Key beach- my first time snorkelling and my husband did a little boat tour there. Would recommend this excursion for sure.. Great area.,- Did Harvest Caye-river tubing. Nice and peaceful. and Costa Maya-went to the beach, but windy and therefore could not snorkel. Lots of weeds, but staff kept raking them up. Huge job. So we just lounged and relaxed. No excursions in Cozumel, just walked around, but found the storekeepers very pushy. Disembark was a breeze. No problems at all. Cannot wait for next years cruise.
