We used to love Royal Caribbean, and maybe it's just the smaller ships that are not as good as they used to be. We loved Allure when we were on it 3 years ago, but Navigator was a disappointment. We were not overly happy with the food (not much flavor to the meat) and the lack of variety on the dinner menu. It seemed like the same items every night, with maybe one or two different options. The service was great, but the food wasn't.

There was only one show a night, so not much to do after it ended at 8:45. The headliners were pretty good, but the ships dancers were not all that great. The orchestra was wonderful.... really great musicians. There was music all over the shipping the evenings (which was always great) but not enough places to sit and listen to it. There were two "adult"shows, but one wasn't until 11:00. Not much to do between 8:45 and 11:00. The ship seemed over crowded all the time, from embarkation until the last day. The Windjammer was packed to the gills all day......hard to find seating. "Main Street" was a mass of people, and leaving the theater was a total road jam. Not planned well.

There was no Captains party or cocktail party for returning guests. We will either try other cruise lines or only do the mega ships.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Our cabin was larger than expected. We had a lot of room and plenty of storage. Our steward was the best! The room was clean but the bathroom is ready for some remodeling.

Port Reviews

Labadee

We didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on the Island so just went to the beach. It was OK, nothing great.

Curacao

We rented a car. The company was all the way on the other side of the Island by the airport. I did NOT see that we could have rented one right off the boat..... Not sure we would do that again. There was no good map and the roads and beaches were not easy to find. We did a lot of driving around! If you do that, get a GOOD map ahead of time and rent a car by the pier!!!! Otherwise we loved the Island.

The cave was very interesting, but it takes a long time to do.

Aruba

We rented a car here, too. The wind was really strong so the beaches were not great. Even Baby Beach was windy and the water way to rough to snorkel ~ what we really wanted to do there. Aruba is becoming very commercialized. Not as nice as it used to be.

Bonaire

Also rented a car here. Close to the pier. The salt flats are interesting. Beaches were ok for snorkeling and diving....... not nice and sandy for relaxing. Not sure we would go back there again.
