We drove to Miami from Virginia (16 hours), the port is very nice. Had to park a good ways away from the terminal. lines were long but moved fine. We got to the terminal around 1:00. I guess it took us an hour to get through and to our rooms. we dropped our stuff and headed to the pool grill for some burgers and fries for a late lunch.

Muster stations: they called for this while we were playing golf. they blew the horn and my son jumped about 2 feet! its pretty loud when you are right under it. we headed to our muster station (its on your card) and you DON'T need your life jackets!! please, don't take them. its hot and crowded. as soon as that was done we headed back up. most people were waiting for the elevators, take the stairs if you can! you will spend a lot of your cruise waiting for elevators. If you do the stairs....its good exercise!

We had 2 balcony rooms that were connecting. one for the 4 kids( ages 9-14) and one for us. Our room steward was great. the kids loved coming back to the room each night and seeing what animals he had made with the towels.

our cabins were very nice. we always get balconies. we were in 6283 and 6285. they were pretty quiet except when the singers sang in the American lobby from 9-12pm.! the sound carried up.

there was plenty of closet space and the balconies were very nice. we were lucky to not be next to any smokers, so we were able to enjoy our balcony.
