Cabin: Ocean View

This was the second time in two years on this beautiful ship. Embarkation was a breeze. I was on the ship in less than 10 minutes from the time I was dropped off. I had a great cabin with two bathrooms and oceanview. The ship was very clean and the food very good. I ate in the Steakhouse twice, had lunch in the Asian and Italian places and enjoyed the main dining very much. I also had a great meal from room service. The Sky ride was fun. I would recommend doing it as soon as you board the ship since the lines are very long the rest of the week. Matt, the cruise director was the best I've had in 18 cruises. No comparison to the others. Guest services couldn't have been any better. Music was very good in the Atrium bar. Loved the IMAX and went to two shows. The only negative I had was our cabin steward was not very attentive but I didn't really care. I'm low maintenance so it's hardly worth mentioning. Others that like to be waited on hand and foot would probably complain about him. Our waiter in the main dining room disappeared after the first night and went to other tables. We got a different waiter. All of them were so busy that it was ridiculous. I could see a major difference in dining service on this ship. But once again, I'm not a spoiled princess so I didn't say anything about it. I did one shore excursion in St. Kitts. It was called The Ten Best of St. Kitts and was very interesting and worth the price. I would book the Vista again for sure.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6A

Very spacious cabin. Had two bathrooms (one regular sized with shower, toilet and vanity and the other with a smaller vanity and tub/shower combo.) The two bath thing was fantastic. Had a nice big window and plenty of closet space. Beds and bedding were wonderful. Very quiet on the Riviera Deck.

Port Reviews

Miami

Miami is always a fun place. The port was very organized and had no delays.

Grand Turk

Did some shopping in the port stores. Very clean. Also went to Jack's Shack down the beach to see Topher, the dog and do some tanning and beaching. Fun place.

San Juan

Old San Juan looked very nice considering the damage that the island suffered. Several shops closed, tho. Not near as much available but still plenty to see and do.I love San Juan and have been numerous times by cruise and land visits so it was like coming home.

St. Maarten

Have been to this island several times and stayed here for a week two ears ago. It was sad to see the devastation in the area from the hurricane. The downtown area in Philipsburg was in fairly good shape. Did some shopping. Hired a taxi to take me to The Carousel Gelato place (a favorite of mine). It was in good shape and the gelato is to die for. Also had the taxi take me to Maho and the Sunset Grill to watch the planes land. Sunset has rebuilt and is expanded and quite nice. Food was very good there (I had pizza). We were told not to go on the French side yet since it is more damaged and not recovered. I always love this island.
