We chose this cruise because a friend recommended it, and we had a special "two for one" rate. We loved the modern technological enhancements with the cruise: the art work explanations with the use of our iPhones, the retractable roof over the pool area, etc.
I thought that the free use of the spa was great, the included excursions were excellent, and the Viking Band was FABULOUS! We danced every night in the Torshavn Lounge.
Unfortunately, the "special" entertainment (with the singers) was very poor. I did not like the lack of the orchestra behind their singing, and the songs chosen (for example on the Tribute to Broadway night) were very unfamiliar. What a shame. The voices of the singers were great; however, the songs were "marginal", at best. The singing "group" seemed very amateurish.
Dining choices were excellent! We ate at both Chef's Table and at the Italian restaurant (both times in the private dining rooms), and the food was delicious. We tried (and enjoyed) the food in every dining area on the ship.
We have recommended the Viking ocean-going vessels to all our friends!
Spacious stateroom, very comfortable. Television selections were excellent, although being able to access CNN would have been nice.
We had a great two days in Miami.
