My husband and I were super excited, as this was our first cruise. We chose Norwegian because we didn't want to really go on a party cruise, like Carnival has the reputation of having. Sadly we didn't realize that Florida college was on spring break. It seems that half of the 4,000 passengers were drunk 20-something college kids.

I purchased the soda package since you can't bring your own soda on the ship, which I understand. What I don't understand is why you have to stand in line at the bar with a bunch of belligerent drunks, just to get a soda. There were times that I had to stand there for twenty plus minutes, getting ignored by the bar tender, being cut in front of by drunks, just so I could get a small cup of soda. Unlimited soda doesn't quite mean unlimited when you get smaller than average cups, and have to wait for twenty plus minutes to even get that.

We were unable to port for the first three days, due to the double nor'easter and an earthquake in the Caribbean. The seas were very rough. I know NCL can't control the weather, but it was difficult to be stuck on the ship for three days in a row with a bunch of rowdy drunk children (I say this and I'm in my early thirties. I have no problem with alcohol, I have an issue with how idiotic people act when they have consumed copious amounts.)

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MD

Spacious cabin, with separate bathroom and shower area. The beds are hard and uncomfortable and not for tall people.
