We were booked in cat. 8C balcony cabin #8469...cabin from hell. It turned out to be a corner cabin and was extremely small for the catagory we booked and the price we paid. It had a lot of wasted space. The bathroom door would not open completely as it hit the bed when opened. There was not a chair to sit on. (This cabin did not have a sofa). The configuration was so totally differnet from other cabins , you would have to see it to believe it. Don't ever book this cabin.! I will say the room steward was excellent and much appreciated as was all of the staff on the ship. We found long lines at the buffet at every breakfast and lunch and finally resorted to eat in the dining room , which was much nicer and good service. I do believe if this ship had emergency problems no one would survive. Would you believe the life boat drill was held in the dining room....yep, table formally set with silverware, table clothes and glasses ready to serve first seating. The children were playing with the silverware, condimenets etc. We found this to be uncceptable. We were glad we were on second seating as I sure did not want to eat after that. (You know we are germ conscious these days with the hand washing etc.). When we got on the tenders the staff was ever so careful seeing that we were transported safely from one vessel to the other, as the waves and water quite rough. I did appreciate that so much .Also I believe when we got to Belize, we found there was 5 or 6 LARGE ships with MANY passengers going ashore. What a mad house on shore. Those overhanging pools on the side of the ship were a joke directly under many decks ...no privacy...and who wants to look down watching people in the pools...then the bathers had to go through the ship and elevators to get to the place where people an bath suits belong ...Carnival you shot your selves in the foot with this big dog. I could go on and on but better stop and look for a cruise on a decent ship. We will NEVER go on Carnival again!!!

Cabin 8c

Cabin 8469 catagory 8C small corner balcony cabin door..opened on to bed and would only open part way. Did not have a chair to set down and no sofa. This cabin has an unusual configuration and you would have to see it to believe it. They should not be chargeing 8C catagory prices for this one.
