  3. Celebrity Solstice
To begin let me say we are primarily loyal to Celebrity. Have been on a few others but keep returning to Celenrity and our 4th time on our favorite class of ships all 4 Solstice class. We booked this cruise almost 2 years in advance because we knew it was a very popular cruise. The worst part was the 15 hour flight from L.A. to Sydney. If you go amd you are tall like I am pay the little extra for an extra leg room seat and get support socks. We stayed several days In Sydney and loved exploring Sydney harbor and all it has to offer. Boarding was a breeze and before we knew it we were sitting near the pool with drink in hand. The ship was spotless throughout and we were surprised to be able to enter our room around 1PM. We prefer Aqua class balcony rooms primarily because of BLU restaurant and the availability of their Persian Gardens rooms included. We were very fortunate to be able to visit all destinations and the various Sounds, unlike the previous cruise that experienced very rough weather. Our entire time the weather was near perfect as was the Tasmanian Sea that can be quite choppy. Clearly our favorite was New Zealand and biggest surprise Hobart Tasmania. Both just fabulous and so were the people living there. So very gracious and friendly. I thought the menu and food in BLU had gone down a notch. Example we had pheasant offered once a week amd some more common ones like pork chops were never offered. The waiters however were superb Shore excursions - we had more fun traveling on our own and the ship’s were expensive.

Bucket list cruise No. 3 one of our best ever!
