We chose this cruise because of the great itinerary. I traveled with my partner, mother and aunt, sister and brother in law. We all booked Bella Interiors last August, linked our bookings. In December, we were thrilled when we received free upgrades to balcony staterooms! However, like so many have mentioned, their website/customer service needs some work. Nothing we couldn't figure out and find solutions, but it seems more complicated than necessary.
Once booked, I started researching and reading, and was quite surprised by the number of negative reviews related to MSC. We're pretty laid back, so I wasn't too worried. Well, turns out I could not disagree more with the negative reviews. The ship is stunningly beautiful, with great care given in ensuring she is well maintained. The staff were attentive and friendly. Cruise Director, Miguel Angel leads a group of talented and endearing people who made sure our cruise experience was second to none, with a particular shout out to International host, Wesley, French host, Zahir and the ever joyful Sasha.
We found the international vibe on this cruise greatly contributed to our experience. It was so refreshing to be cruising with people from such a wide variety of nationalities and cultures. It would be a shame if MSC were to change their approach to look too much like the other cruiselines and try to cater to one specific nationality.
Stateroom was clean and comfortable. We had a sufficient number of hangers and enough storage to ensure a nicely organised cabin. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The balcony was as expected, with two chairs and a small foot stool. We traveled with family members who were in adjoining cabins, and therefore had our balcony dividers opened allowing the three cabins to share balcony space. Bathroom was as expected, with the collapsible shower doors being a bonus. Our room steward did a good job at keeping things clean. Our only issue was we had to repeatedly ask for washcloths. A small, inconsequential issue!
