We purchased this cruise in 2017 and paid almost $ 10,000 net. We did not even get a suite with a balcony as previously requested.

Upon departure we booked a formal dinner at the Versailles dining hall only to be totally disappointed by the quality, presentation and variety of the meals. The food served was at best mediocre and definitely not on cruise ship standards - at least in the past. After trying the second restaurant next evening (AQUA) we realized that the same applied to this restaurant as well and it became obvious, that NCL’s goal must have been to redirect their guests into their 7 specialty restaurants who offered better food at extra costs.

Besides and what really upset us the most, are the many extra charges and we felt “Nickeled and Dimed to death” during the whole cruise. On the other hand we had no problems at all with the services and considered them on par with all cruise ships - very curtious and well trained. Also the suite was well layed out and in good condition. The concept of “Free style cruising” might have many supporters but did not excited us. Overall this cruise will end us costing in excess of $ 15,000 and should only be rated at best at 3.5 stars.
