First a few things about us. My wife and I are in our upper 60's and have been on 33 cruises, but this was only the second time on Celebrity. Lately, we've most often cruised on Princess, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian. We have been to all the Caribbean ports many times, so the ports aren't much of a factor. We don't like to sit in the sun, so mostly look for inside activities on the ship. We do purchase the beverage package, but don't go to the specialty restaurants very often (especially at Celebrity prices). We have been booking standard balcony cabins. We generally look for good value and don't want to spend extra for a Concierge Class, Aqua Class or a Suite.
Now for the cruise itself. The ship was very nice. We liked the cabin and our room steward. The TV even had our favorite news channel (important to us). The bars and public areas are nice and we enjoyed spending time sitting around the Grand Foyer having a drink and listening to the live music. So far, so good.
There were some things that disappointed us though. First, there simply were not enough activities for us, especially during the day. The trivia was good, but there was not much else. The few activities that took place in the Entertainment Court were hard to attend because the area is way too small with very limited seating. There was no Marriage Game, which we miss. We aren't big on music production shows, but did enjoy both comedians they had.
