My wife and I needed a little getaway and this cruise fit the bill. This cruise had just three ports of call but that wasn't what we really cared about. The ports were, Princess Cay (Eleuthera island, Bahamas), St Thomas and Sint Maarten. Princess Cay is the beach day, average BBQ with the usual hamburgers and hot dogs. Nothing to write home about. Beach is decent but the swimming area is rocky. Half Moon Cay has a nicer swimming area. St. Thomas and Sint Maarten are still recovering from the hurricane that hit them last fall. They are recovering but it will take a while longer.

The ship is the sister ship of the Royal and is very similar inside and out. The Regal had the promenade deck open so you could at least walk from bow to stern on the outside. The Royal had the areas behind the life boats closed which made walking along the promenade impossible. Definite plus to the Regal. The dining room is partitioned with booths in some areas and many smaller tables throughout. I prefer a large table with lots of interesting table mates, so this was a disappointment. The food was good as usual.

Our cabin (E503) was ok for size but the balcony was very small. Not worth the premium. The shows were good as usual.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BV

Cabin is small but functional. Balcony is almost useless

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Rented car and drove around island. Phillipsburg not to bad but wide spread damage on rest of island

Princess Cays

Beach day. Food is mediocre and swimming area not as good as Half Moon Cay
