Carnival Elation – March 1 – March 5, 2018

I was invited to join a wonderful group of girlfriends who have been cruising with Carnival for years. I jumped at the invitation and could not have asked for a better group with whom to spend 4 days. My company was, by far, the highlight of the trip.

I certainly was not expecting a luxury experience. But I was expecting FUN. And although we did have a ton of fun during our Freeport/Nassau adventure, the fun was initiated by us, not Carnival.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

The cabin was a pleasant surprise. We chose to be in a triple, to which I was not looking forward, however the layout of the cabin worked well for our group. The beds were comfortable and the storage was adequate. Our steward was very pleasant, although we dd not call upon him after the first day.

The ventilation in the room and bathroom could be improved. Specifically a fan in the bathroom would have helped to remedy the dampness and "typical" bilge smell. Also, the room seemed a bit warm, even though the thermostat was on the coolest setting.

Port Reviews

Jacksonville

We walked to a shopping center from our hotel, prior to grabbing an Uber to JAXPORT. The Uber was only $15 for 5 of us.
