We chose this cruise because it was the most ideal time. The week after most schools start back up, but still in time for our college winter breaks to line up.

Cruising in January is difficult on older ships. We left from Tampa and headed out to the open Gulf, and it was incredibly rocky. My girlfriend's sister and Mom both were seasick. I didn't have any issues but it wasn't the best cruise I've ever had.

Ship itself was okay. Not too good entertainment wise, however all the necessities were there. We had tons of open loungers by the pool and never had any issues finding tables in the buffet. No fun mini golf, or water slides, or anything else. The rock wall had very limited hours to climb.

Nice room. Soft beds. No issues with electric or water or anything. Room attendant was ok. We figured the best attendants work on the bigger ships.
