Ok the ship is beautiful. The crew is amazing. Access to all areas excellent. Music and shows also excellent. YET the food looks gourmet, it is bland, flavorless almost. So you tricked me with good looks then leave me wanting. And please get your photo crews out of the main passages so we may wander freely instead of needing to back-track or find alternative routes. Went on Holland America the following week and they proved food can be quite appetizing at sea. YET they failed as well. The shows were good even very good, but the music was rare and weird and at least 50+ years old. Duelling pianos? Jazz from the 40's. Classical? BB Kings Blues lounge... no Blues? Soooo, you win some and you lose some. Unfortunately I lost my wifes interest in cruising. So we may never cruise again. I did like that Celebrity offered bottles of wine during the lunch buffet outside that dining room for half price... $35 for 2 bottles... We bought 1 for each day of the cruise. So for a $122 we drank well without the the drink packages that were also pushed everywhere for $110 a day for 2.
Loved it! No sound from the bar or the music venue less than 30 feet away.
Ok I like Bloody Mary's and Baggatelle's is the place. Happy Hour starts at 9AM!! Then move through town to see the local boats in the marina. Then head for the Fort, a state park. Fabulous beaches good reef, uncrowded.
Head to the road through the fake pyramids, stop by the dolphins as you get ashore, then grab a truck pulling a sleigh.... Head to Majahual the real town! Head to Lobster shak. Great beach very good cerviche!!!!! Nice owner. Swim out and snorkel the reef 100 yards offshore... AMAZING!
Chankanaab Park... Get a cab or excursion portside. This place rocks. Alligators! Dolphin! Manatee! Great beaches snorkling is good too. Take the free tour. Shows you everything without the $$$...
