I chose this cruise to see the Mediterranean and explore cities. The weather was terrible. It snowed or rained almost everyday. The Barcelona tour was terrible. Couldn't understand the tour guide. Asked tour guide if we were going to sagra da familia and she replied yes we will see gothic church. In fact we were taken to a gothic church but it wasn't sagar da familia. Multiple people on the bus were disappointed. Pisa was nice but you have to walk at least a mile from the bus through town to the tourist site. On the walk back an older woman fell and hit her head and artificial hip. No ambulance was called. She had to keep walking. Others opted to take a taxi ride back to the bus for 10 euros. Another day I did the optional excursion to Florence. Again another long walk from bus to town. Again another older woman fell down on the walk back to the bus hurting her ankle. No ambulance called she had to keep walking assisted by strangers. The food was mediocre. The entertainment was nothing special. Wait times in the restaurant are unbearably long. Due to rough weather our day in st. Tropez was cancelled. We spent the day cruising. No extra activities on board to pass the time. Unless you are a "drinker" you will have at best an ok time. And I didn't pay over $3000 expecting to have an ok time. I have previously taken a river cruise--it was much better. But after this I have been put off from viking and travelling for a while. Also don't get me started on the flights they schedule for you. Layovers and bad times. They are not concerned with helping you unless you pay more money. Everything is a money grab. Getting home from Rome took over 24 hours. I could of had a direct flight in 10 hours.

The cabin was kept very clean. During rough waters one night the balcony door opened. Apparently it had not been locked all along. Check your balcony door to make sure it is locked!
