Our two friends & their two teenage boys had booked this cruise & then invited us to join them.It was my & my husbands first cruise. We are both in our early 50s & thoroughly enjoyed it.We flew from Glasgow Uk to Barcelona & stayed over night & boarded the next morning.Embarkation & disembarkation was very organised & took no time at all.We loved the ship, it was spotless & the staff were all amazing. Our balcony cabin was a good size & the bed & pillows were great, i had a brilliant nights sleep every night. This was also possibly due to the amount of walking we did on & off of the ship every day . a med cruise is not a relaxing holiday if you want to visit all the great sights, Pompeii, Rome, Florence, Corfu, croatia- Dubrovnik, Sicily,Barcelona etc.
We didn't use the spa until one evening I had a really bad migraine & the only thing to get rid of it is a massage. I went up to the spa but it was just closing, I explained to the girl I was desperately needing a neck massage. She was a god send to me, she finished her shift & massaged my neck & shoulders for 10 mins & my migraine went away. Couldn't have asked for better service.
Ship days were a nightmare to get a sun bed.One morning my husband went up to the sun deck at 8 am & every sun bed had been reserved. He went to walk away & luckily an attendant asked him what he was looking for. He said a sun bed but they are all taken. He removed towels & said there you go sir, we do not allow sun beds to be reserved. The rest of the week if anyone left their sun bed for more than half hour the attendant took the towels away if people were waiting for a sun bed.which still wasn't great cos we couldn't even pop off for lunch without loosing our bed..
Our balcony cabin was a good size & the bed & pillows were great, so comfy, i had a brilliant nights sleep every night. Our room attendant was a lovely man who kept our room tidy & our bathroom spotless, not that we saw much of him as we were out most days
