My wife and I booked this cruise for our honeymoon which we planned to do 6 months after we were married. We booked this itinerary mainly because the prices were reasonable and I had not done a Western Caribbean cruise before.

I am giving this cruise a 3-Star rating because I feel that should be the minimum expectation for an experience on any cruise ship. Although we had fun and overall, a good experience, there was definitely a lot of things that could have been a lot better.

The service on the ship was good I'd say - no major complaints there. I did miss being recognized by various staff members throughout the cruise, it seemed as though we were strangers to everyone even though we had interacted with them before. The biggest complaint I will address was the drinks. My wife and I opted for the unlimited beverage package and we aren't sure if it was worth it. Most of the drinks we ordered all seemed to come from a pre-mixture already prepared and in turn, did not seem to contain much alcohol content. Generally, one can become tipsy from 2-3 *hard* drinks, especially my wife , who is a light-weight. But it didn't matter how many long islands or any drinks we ordered, we could barely seem to feel buzzed even after 7-8 cocktails. I have tried to find other reviews that are suspecting watered down drinks from Norwegian, but I haven't found any yet. My theory is this is how NCL re-coups their cost for offering this package on seemingly now all of their cruises. Not having to think about cost is great when it comes to drinks, but I'd almost rather pay for them knowing I'll get a drink that'll 'get the job done'.

Harvest Caye

Just hung out on the beach and walked around the shops here. This port though feels more like an expensive resort with high prices as everything here is owned by Norwegian. Would rather be dropped off in Belize to experience the culture there.
