The itinerary drew me to book a group on this sailing, Feb. 24- Mar 3, out of San Juan, Puerto Rico, to St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Antigua, and Barbados. The ship had spent a month in dry dock being updated three weeks earlier so was looking pretty good. Our least favorite area was the Casino which had very few modern slot machines. The smoke in the casino needs to be better vented. It was difficult for non-smokers to even pass through the area. We had a lovely wait team in the Main Dining Room making us feel very special throughout the 7 days. The water park, swimming pools and hot tubs, outdoor movie screen, ice skating arena, rock climbing wall, tennis/volleyball/basketball area, miniature golf course, table tennis area, workout and spa areas were all very appealing. Two of the shows in the Lyric Theater (Stephanie Parker, a Whitney Houston tribute artist, was amazing. The ventriloquist/comedian was also very entertaining) were memorable. Two production shows were scheduled; one of them was canceled due to heavy rocking and the possible danger to the dancers. The orchestra, singers, and dancers were also very good. The Love and Marriage Show was a hoot. The Quest, a scavenger type adult competition, was outrageous (men taking off their pants; women, their bras, etc.) but caused a lot of laughter. We didn't go to any of the premium restaurants as the food in the Main Dining Room and Windjammer for lunch was certainly good enough. Our promenade room was great; we love promenade ships as these rooms are very nice and yet way less expensive than balcony rooms. We prefer them to ocean view rooms which are also more expensive. Seems to me that the activities list is getting sparser with each passing year. There used to be more to do. Maybe with 5 ports of call, that could be the reason. We loved our cruise.

Cabin Review

Cabin 7595
Promenade rooms are the "best bang for the buck" in my opinion. Lots of storage space, a love seat and a window seat overlooking the ship's promenade where the action takes place. Middle of the ship on decks 6, 7, and 8.
