It went from New Orleans, our home town. We went because we just wanted some relaxation. We have cruised on Norwegian many times. We like the Free Style Dining. Embarkation was fine. The food was good, and the staff very nice. We especially like Le Bistro and Moderno specialty restaurants. The speed of service in the Summer Palace was usually very good. In the past we had found it too slow.

The nightly shows were excellent! The weather was nice, but because of that the pool was very crowded. We had wanted to do some swimming, but didn't. We would like to see more active contests like the bean bag toss and golf.

There was no shuttle from the ship to the shore at Costa Maya as advertised. There were so many people that perhaps there was no room for it on the walkway.

Cabin small. Much noise (loud amps, music, singing) after 11 pm from a private function in the theater. We had to change rooms. We went to 9055 which was very quiet. Still small. The wall bed which we didn't use was in the way when getting up. A head knocker. One bed light didn't work properly, so no reading on that side. It was never fixed, although the nice cabin steward had previously reported it. The phone ringer didn't work. We couldn't get wakeup calls or call one another when one of us was out of the room.
