Sail Date: Feb 2018

Just returned from Feb 21-March 1 sailing. I have never been so cold in my life! Rain, sleet, snow, rain and WIND. Guides carried on no matter what. Prices of sweaters, etc for sale in Viking Shop were exorbitant. Should have been alternate plans available with more bus tours rather than walking. Better to sail in shoulder seasons but it was what it was. The ship was beautiful, cabin on deck five even side was comfortable and our steward Sergei was excellent. Tour guides Michel in Cote DÁzur, Bettina in Pisa and Daniella in Marseille were wonderful.

Manfredis restaurant was very good and Chefs Table was interesting. As far as Chef's Table, check the menu first or you might be disappointed. Destination menu was not appealing to me and standard menu boring. The World Café was good for a quick bite and had a variety of selections. Food in Explorer Lounge was not memorable. The restaurant would be my choice. The convenience of room service was a definite plus. We used it for breakfast every day.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

Steward was wonderful. No complaints whatsoever. Cabin could have had more drawers, shelves for clothing. I had to leave some things in suitcase under bed. It is not as restrictive as longboats however.
