My partner and I did a 7-day Western Caribbean on the Eurodam in late January. We’d sailed on the Eurodam in the winter of 2010 and were happy. But we’ve only sailed Celebrity yearly since. I booked this cruise because of a great deal on a Signature suite as well as that one stop was at Half Moon Cay.
I’m not going to lie. I was a little concerned that the ship would look tired compared to Celebrity and that the older crowd would mean less energy. I wouldn’t say that the ship is tired. It’s just not as pretty as the Celebrity ships and it’s a little dated in spots. The other passengers were not that much older than Celebrity. It’s that there was very little entertainment which made staying up not worth it and gave the ship a very sedate feeling. But those are the only two negative things I will say. We cruise with friends who love Celebrity as much as we do. But they too agreed – we’d choose this ship again in a heartbeat.
Why? The service was outstanding. Best cabin service and best dining room service we’ve ever had. Our servers Tri and Su were so good that we cancelled one night of specialty dining to be with them. Food in the dining room was extremely good. In the 6 nights of dining there, there was one entre that was just “OK.” Every other one was excellent. There was so much on the menu that appealed to us that every night we ordered and extra entre to share. I can’t always say that about Celebrity.
Best cabin we've ever had. Even for a suite, it really stood out. Double vanity in the bathroom. Great lighting and finishes in the bathroom. Huge television with a large selection of free movies. Excellent cabin service. Well worth the money.
Absolutely beautiful. Best private island of any we've been to.
