We have done this cruise and all of the ports several times and we would not go again on the Grand Princess from San Francisco. It was very cold the first two days and the last two days. We love Princess, but this cruise seemed to carry a different clientele. People with no teeth and even wore pajamas the first few days! Dress code in the dining room was not followed - shorts, jeans with holes in them, baseball caps and cowboy hats were allowed! Formal nights were better. We also found the dining room menu was revamped and not very good. One night advertised filet mignon with sweet potatoes. We asked for our steaks medium well and instead of sweet potatoes, we asked for a baked potato. So the steak and sweet potatoes came on a skewer and the meat was rare! The waiter apologized and said you couldn't request the way the meat was cooked. We couldn't eat it! Very disappointing. They used to have lobster and prawns on the final formal night, but now all you can have is lobster (3 small rubbery ones). The entertainment was not great. Same shows/comedians as two and three years ago! Not impressed at all. We did a Panama cruise on the Island Princess in October/November and it was fantastic. Grant Princess needs updating.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

We upgraded to a mini suite and paid extra, of course, but we had holes in our sheets on the bed and the towels in the bathroom were frayed!
