Sail Date: Feb 2018

Purchased only 2 weeks prior, this was a great value cruise. We had never sailed with P & O before, thinking it was a 3 star outfit. We have been pleasantly surprised, and will sail again with them in the future. The lack of air/con along one side of the Pantry was surprising, in that it wasn't fixed for the duration. The entertainment was good, except for the magician, who was very very average. The bands and singers were great, the activities during the sea days were plenty, and varied. The noticeable differences between this cruise and others we have done, were that room service was not free, you had to book each night's dinner table, instead of being able to turn up to your regular table with the same guests (we prefer this), the food overall was okay, not wonderful (mind you, any meal I dont have to prepare, cook and clean up after, is good) and only a handful of deck chairs were out and available along deck 6. No jug of water in the cabins, you had to pay for bottled water if you wanted it. No writing paper and pen in the cabin either. These are minor triflings, but noticeable for us. Needless to say, they wont stop us from going on P & O again in the future.

Cabin Review

Cabin Inside

A very large cabin by usual standards, bed comfortable, and cabin stewards wonderful. There seemed to be a staff corridor running beside it, with staff on our last 2 nights doing all sorts of noisy activities along it.
