We were very excited about visiting four islands in Hawaii. I have traveled with other ship lines and found this ship and its staff sub-par. Maybe it was because the staff were mostly Americans made a difference. They did not appear to work very hard and some had an attitude (front office staff and excursion). The ship is old, our state room was really stripped down. We finally got a coffee pot after the third day. When the guy brought the second coffee pot I asked if there were some lights we hadn't discovered as it was like a dungeon, he said no. By some miracle I mirror appeared on the wall behind the bed which did help some. We had to ask for wash clothes every day for some reason. The food was ok, wish their were healthier choices. Embarkment was horrible. Rather than have people wait off the ship they let people on and everyone (3000 people) had to find somewhere to sit for about three hours before our staterooms were cleaned. Some of the shore excursions were good, one a little scary due to heavy rains and one the tour guide had no idea of the history of where he brought us (Historic Kona). Waste of time and money, I should have asked for a refund. The luau was really hipped up and a great disappointment. Entertainment was wonderful but the food????? I do not plan on going on a Norwegian ship again. So, now that we are back I began adding up the costs and found some charges from Norwegian I wasn't certain about. I called and was put on hold for one hour and 5 minutes. I hung up and retried to but the recording said the business office closed. So one would assume the office was likely closed while I was on hold for 65 minutes. I would like to write a review on the excursions but cannot find where
