Super easy getting on and off the ship, but to be fair, we were travelling with persons in our party who had mobility issues, but it appeared that the flow for the 12:30 embarkation and the self check out was moving well.
The good - Hands down the best entertainment we have seen in our 4 cruises. The Million Dollar Quartet was outstanding (Jerry Lee Lewis stole the show) and Burn the Floor was also amazing. Wish I had seen each of them twice. This cruise featured 4 ports of call, which was nice. A serious medical emergency caused a slight re-shuffle (praying that the person and family affected is doing well), but overall a great selection of ports (with an exception below). Buffet was good, but unspectacular. Freestyle dining food was solid throughout, but no lobster night (bummer). Our steward, Rodrigo, was outstanding and even delivered a few variations on the traditional towel animals.
The bad:
We went with a guaranteed room for the first time, and it worked out for us. Lower deck with a nice close view of the water. The room was reasonable in size and the bathroom larger than most we have had in the past. Quiet location with the only noise being the hum of the engine, which you could hear when you laid down, but it was unobtrusive and, to us, a comforting "white noise".
We stayed in an AirBnB in Little Havana the day prior to our cruise. Great food!
Our 2nd time here as well and not as amazing as our 1st, only because we did the same thing, walking the Malecon and dining at the Crazy Lobster. Still beautiful, still peppered at every step by vendors, but hey, that's part of the Mexico tourist experience.
Nothing special. Despite being Norwegian's Island, you have to pay cash for everything (unlike our visit to Coco Key with Royal Caribbean). Strongly recommend dumping this and taking the ferry to Placencia. We skipped the crowds at Harvest Key and walked the Placencia boardwalk to the Cozy Corner where we had the beach to ourselves along with reasonably priced food and beer.
