We have never sailed with Princess before. The staffs on the ship seemed very happy and were always at your side to offer assistance. Excellent service at every level in every interaction was standard. We dine at the Palm restaurant every night the food and service was at its best. The Canal experience was wonderful, especially because we had been told to reserve space on deck 17 in the Sanctuary... We were however disappointed with the sensation of pressure to spend and the hidden gratuity fee on many services. It seems Princess now nickels and dimes the passengers on each and every detail while onboard. Although smoking is restricted in all but the starboard side and casino, we did observe vaping (electronic cigarettes) and regular cigarettes in the Crooner's bar and the promenade deck 7. While on 15th deck for a relaxing day at the pool the man washroom was clog and the maintenance crew started chipping the washroom floor with jackhammer. Meanwhile the painting crew started vanishing a wooden deck ceiling having a strong vanish epoxy smell. We had to move. We don’t need that. Our cabin (E-328) had a very nice king sized bed and adequate shower, closet space. However, we were somewhat disappointed when we found a sandal under the bed which seems has been left there for some time. This gave us the chill feeling that carpet cleaning of the cabin between cruises is done quickly or not at all. My wife has allergy and she found it hard to breed while in the cabin throughout the entire cruise. We don’t need that. We always dream of cursing with Princess Line. Probably the Love Boat Episode. We must admit we expected more from Princess. Thank you
