we booked this cruise 18 months in advance through our pvp at Princess which we use all the time. arrived in LA two nights before the cruise and stayed at the Hilton in Long Beach, very nice place. Spent our free day before the cruise taking an LA guided tour with Sunseeker holidays, it was wonderful, saw everything we needed in eight hours. When we returned back to our hotel I checked our cruise reservation and found out that the mini suite that we had booked for the 3 of us had been upgraded to a full suite, which I understand rarely ever happens. ran down to reprint our boarding passes and luggage tags, in case this was some kind of prank. Surprisingly we found our suite very roomy and enjoyed the extra perks. enjoyed all the ports, especially Huatulco even though we just spent our day on the beach right by the ship. Going through the Panama canal was awesome for me, the women weren't to excited. Very hot almost everyday with just a few drops of rain in 15 days. Dining was always entertaining, our table group had eleven people and we had traditional 5:15 dining, with our servers Willie and Richard we laughed at every meal, they were wonderful. Although there were eleven of us as a group, we did most excursions together but everyone did there own thing usually, worked out just fine, we were all together for dinner most nights except some some who did the crab shack one nite and the steakhouse, and Aruba where we had a late departure so a lot were still in port shopping. that was horizon buffet night for some of us, it was German night, so very good. Ship is starting to show her age but her spaces are all very nice, and I love the smaller ships just for being so handy to everything. really appreciated the large washroom in our suite with the jetted tub and full size shower, and of course the large deck for viewing the canal. We saw hundreds of dolphins in the early morning along side the ship and some whales and turtles. Disembarkation in Fort Lauderdale was easy as they were an hour ahead of schedule, we were at our hotel (Embassy Suites) just after 10 in the morning, I had asked for early check-in being a Hilton member and they had a room available so that was nice. Spent the rest of the day relaxing and went to the Outback restaurant for supper, the next day went for a swim in the pool and we took the Jungle Queen for a riverboat ride up the inland waterways which was very nice, would recommend that trip. next day was our sad day, the day of travel home, flight at 2:45 to TO. then home to Regina, get there 1:30am. goodnight.

Great cruise, great weather, good friends, nothing could be better.
