Sail Date: Feb 2018
Cabin: Large Interior Stateroom

This was a cruise of convenience. It started out of Galveston, Texas (I live less than an hour away from the port). It ended the same day that my SO started studies for a new career. I booked late and got one of the last cabins aboard the ship.

Embarkation was smooth. Our cabin was on the 4th floor, 4011. It was far enough forward you could see the ship beginning to curve inward towards the bow. The first thing we noticed was the hallways smelled old, musty with a hint of urine. That was unusual - kind of like an old Las Vegas Hotel. It was my first inside cabin ever and the room was decent although small. The shower and toilet were OK, but there was a hole in the top of the shower which may have contained a light in the past, it was very dirty and unpleasant to stare at when you took a shower. TIP - Bring your own soap and shampoo. The soap they provided was gritty and never lathered. I had my own which did the trick

The bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were not very comfy. I will say that our Cabin attendant, Jason, was excellent. The storage space was more than I needed and they did design those spaces well.

TV stunk on ice - mostly unwatchable ship promotions.

There is no refrigerator in the room. There is a safe. There were also plenty of electrical outlets.
