We chose this particular cruise because it fit our daughter's Winter Break; went to ports that were not hit by the hurricane; and were somewhere WARM. We had a balcony cabin on the Concierge Floor. Concierge Benefits: Easy embarkation and debarkation. Snack tray every afternoon. And some others. The staff were wonderful! (Kudos to Rencio, Paul T (MDR) & Dave (9th floor room steward). Good food. We had heard horror stories about Select Dinning, but we did find that to be the case bc we made a standing reservation for dinner. Oceanview Cafe was crazy as most buffet areas tend to be, but good food. Good excursions (Turles in Grand Cayman & Submarin in Cozumel). We went with Native Choice's Chacchoben Ruins Extreme. Wonderful tour company and they were dedicated to getting us back on time. Hounded in Mexico by shop owners in the port areas. Wish cruise ships could dictate how to behave within the port area. Of course the swimming pool/chairs areas was overcrowded. Overall, we were very happy with this cruise.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class
Cabin C3 9362
Loved having a balcony. Made the room feel so much more spacious. Very comfy bed. Plenty of storage for two people, but a little tight for the three of us. (Although the third was a teen :) Very clean. Great room steward.

  • Chacchoben Mayan Ruins
Took a taxi to their office. Nice bus/van transportation. Deigo was a great guide. Mosquitoes were not a problem in February. Lunch at private resort and swimming in a fresh water lagoon.

  • Submarine Tour
Dr. Prager's Submarine tour. But she was not on the sub, nor was it sompletely narrated by her. Good for people who do not want to snorkle but want to see fish and reef. Spent quite a bit of time in transit taking a boat to and from the sub.

  • Turtle Farm
Very nice park. Snorkeled in a manmade lagoon, but saw lots of fish and sea turtles. Skip the long line to have your picture taken by the park staff. $25 picture. And you can take your own picture holding a baby turtle in one of the wading pools. Trip to Hell was a waste of time in my opinion,
