Cabin: Ocean View Stateroom

We sailed as part of the Autism on the Seas group and our experience was overall fabulous. Getting on and off of the boat was as painless as possible. The cabin was available at 1:30pm, as scheduled. The on board activities were a lot of fun. Our group had private sessions with: bumper car, flow rider, iFly, North Star, Trapeze, and roller skates. The staff was friendly and helpful, very aware that they were working with special needs families.

My only issue with the cruise was that our cabin, 3582, was very noisy. From teenagers running up and down the hallway, the neighbors slamming their door closed, and the thumping bass from the Music Hall all night, noise was a huge issue. Also, be aware, when the pull-out couch is in use, it renders the mini-fridge, chair and make-up counter, and all of the dresser drawers inaccessible. This is a ridiculously poor design.

This was our third time on Anthem of the Seas and it was also the most crowded I have seen it - surprising since it was a February sailing. There were children everywhere and they were constantly making announcements in the Windjammer buffet to vacate your tables when you were finished with your meal so other people could enjoy their breakfast/lunch/dinner. It was also very difficult to get chairs on the pool deck. People reserved them with their towels, then never came back - SUPER annoying. But, in general, I have no problem with Anthem and will be sailing again on this boat in a few months.

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

My experience in this port was very positive. The parking garage is easily accessible and the covered walkways were helpful, since it was raining when we disembarked.
