WE choose this cruise because we wanted to try the west coast cruise ports and we also wanted to see the Panama Canal. I have been on many cruises all over the world. The Star was ok ... We had an inside room..Very small.. you had to wait till your turn to get to the closets..there was no where you could pass each other without bumping... It had great closet space. In fact it is the best of all the cruises I have been on. Plenty of shelves, a large hanging cloths closet, 3 deep drawers, and several shelves with closing doors to hide your personal items. Also there is a small refrigerator ... it comes stocked with a selection of pay as you use . soda/ beer/ wine. If you don't want these things taking of room that you can use for your water bottles ..leave a note for your room attendant to remove them.

The bath did not much for shelves. They offer a 4 inch shelf by about 20 inches to hold both your room~mate and your things. There is an larger shelf down below that holds the trash that you can sit some things on. The shower was great with an adjustable & re~moveable hose. There was also a cloths line in the shower you could hang your towels and swim suits on to dry.

Bed was okay... a little on the soft side for me..plenty of pillows and clean linens. The young man who took care of tidying our room each day did a wonderful job. Read more
