Sail Date: Nov 2017

As frequent PBS viewers, we saw many Viking commercials and always wanted to take a river cruise. This cruise met (and exceeded) all our expectations. The weather was a bit cold in November, but the smaller crowds in the cities visited and lower pricing more than made up for the need to dress in layers. We spent a couple of days in Budapest before embarking on the ship and arranged for a layover in Amsterdam on the way home. Both were well worth the added time and the Viking tour bookers were very helpful in arranging the necessary flights.

As for the cruise itself, we can't say enough about how organized the trip was and the Viking staff was simply superb. We are already planning our next Viking cruise. We have travelled extensively with various tour companies, but Viking was hands-down the best--just the right amount of chaperoned city tours with plenty of free time. Well done Viking! We will be back.

Cabin Review

Plenty of space and very well appointed. As former ocean cruisers, we appreciated the increased space, particularly in the bathroom.
