This was my first cruise with RC in about 15 years. I 've spent the past 24 hours deciding if I was going to provide honest feedback. For the past 10 years we have been on each of the Disney ships for 5,7, and 10 day sailings.
Our process getting on board the Navigator was seamless from the time of drop off at the terminal. The room attendant was very nice. We were able to secure excursions and reservations to restaurants with relative ease.
My party experienced frustrating issues with the My Time dining (for which the staff was profusely apologetic and attempted to rectify the situation). The first night there was a considerable delay with our food and frankly, I was moderately disappointed with some of the basic choices. On the second night there was a mix up with wine (which we had to send back as it was undrinkable) and honestly while I understand the importance of reiterating how 'seriously' the evaluations are considered, I was sick of hearing it. The Chops Grille was exceptional and Izumi also quite nice. The extended limitation of menu choices at Sabor was very disappointing....and we had to switch our reservation while at the restaurant because my personal menu request of substituting vegetables for tortillas or taco shells was not understood. Again, the menu was exceptionally limiting. In this current social climate I would expect that any and all restaurants would have accommodating menus for a variety of dietary needs. Through no fault of the waiter or staff, my requests were not understood.
We literally booked this trip as a last minute quick...YAY! Lets take a cruise! I'm not sure that I have the category right. We were happy to get whatever was available as we are sailing on the Anthem in March in Suites. The cabin was clean and well attended. I was surprised to see that there were no sponsored toiletries like on Disney or at other land resorts where we've stayed. Soap was provided but that's all.
