This was a brand new vessel that was sailing from New Orleans to Red Wing, Minnesota. We were interested in the shore excursions of which 3 did not take place. Our cabin was missing furniture, closet hangers, the thermostat did not work and only blew hot air. Engineering could not fix it. The room appeared never to have been cleaned and the bathroom faucet was very loose. We asked to be moved and denied. The food wasn't cooked properly and the menu had many sold outs. The staff could not seat us so we waited a half hour looking at empty tables. Staff were brought in from the other two vessels plus several new employees. It was totally unorganized; no one seemed to know the routine. Three shore excursions were cancelled plus mechanical problems, We are not first time cruisers; this one was # 48 ! An offering was made to compensate the passengers. Myself and a few others heard Ted as well as the Riverlorian state that a complementary cruise would be issued as well as an apology for the troubles. My request for the complementary cruise was not honored ! We will no longer do business with American Queen and the same goes for the others in the group. Some even mentioned legal action.

This new ship should never had sailed. Every department was miserable !
