We sailed on Summit in February 2018. The itinerary was not particularly interesting, especially the Bahamas stop on day two. I have always found it to be a "why bother" port. There were also scheduled stops in Punta Cana (which was switched for San Juan at the last minute due to weather making tendering not possible). San Juan is another port I find boring. The only other port of call was St. Thomas, which is always wonderful.

We did get a nice price on our Celebrity Suite, which made the cruise seem more worthwhile. We have stayed in the Sky suites in the past, but this our first cruise in a Celebrity Suite, which has a separate bedroom. We absolutely love Luminae and you can only dine there if you are suite class. We had read that the Celebrity Suites were not upgraded when they updated the Royal and Penthouse suites. This is correct, but the furnishings and carpet were in good shape. The cabin has a beautiful wall of windows, large balcony and large living room with a dining area. My only complaint was the bathroom. You practically need to be an acrobat to get into and out of the jacuzzi tub/shower. It's truly not safe. The bathroom also could be use an update. Maybe in the next dry dock? Ram, our butler was truly wonderful. In the past we have had butlers that did little more than collect their tip. Ram couldn't have done more. Coffee, cappuccino with Baileys and mimosa delivered in the morning. He took care of restaurant reservations and all our laundry. Very nice! Hope we get his services again. Our cabin steward, Made, was also wonderful and extremely unobtrusive. We hardly saw him the entire week. We also enjoyed the perk of Michael's Club. The bartender in there is excellent. He knew what we liked by the second day. The concierge was also excellent; however, I cannot recall her name. Once you stay in the suites, it's almost impossible to go back to a standard or even Aqua cabin!

Service was excellent throughout the ship. We never encountered a problem with any staff on board. Quite the opposite, they could not do enough for us. Some guests were another matter, and treated the employees with disrespect sometimes even scorn. It was pathetic! I witnessed one truly horrible women curse at a server at the pool grill because he put a bun on her hamburger and when he gave her a new one without a bun she cursed at him for not putting french fries on her plate. She never asked for fries! I had to tell her what a horrible person I thought she was and she cursed at me too.

As previously noted the cabin is in pretty good shape, but the shower/tub combination is terrible. It is very difficulty to into or out of the shower/tub and dangerous. The bathroom needs an update. Bedroom is small, but adequate. There is more storage than two people could use for month long cruise. The bed was comfortable and they brought us memory foam pillows which helped. A lounger on the deck would be nice!
