Arrived in NYC in plenty of time, parked at the port for $210 and waited to check in. Brought along a twelve pack of Coke, cheese, salami all sorts of snacks and a bottle of wine. Willing to pay a corkage fee but nobody asked. Went aboard with little fuss proceeding to Grand Pacific for lunch. Dined with a nice couple from NYC exchanging stories of previous trips. Very cold departure and it was too dark to get any pics of the Statue of Liberty. Trip south was rough and nobody was allowed outside. Ship was packed meaning long lines and beepers at the "free" restaurants. Venture upstairs to the buffet and one could see "Freestyle" quickly turned into "FreeForAll" pushing and shoving trying to find an empty table. Dined in two of the "upscale" rooms. Tex-Mex for $10 each not worth it at all. Food was so-so and though they had at least twenty different tequilas, the bartender came over to ask me what "Negro Modelo" was. Also, the restaurant is on Deck eight and people walk through on their way to their cabins all through the meal. Italian place, LaCucina, also $10 per person was nicer but fairly rustic with hard wooden chairs. Tried breakfast in Grand Pacific one morning but walked out after waiting over forty-five minutes. Other diners arriving later ate and left while we waited. Did not opt for excursions in Cocoa Beach deciding to walk along the shore. Kind of dirty and they wanted $5 just to walk to the end of the pier. No thanks. Pretty much a wasted stop unless you wanted to go to Disney.

Cabin - Adequate room for the three of us though we needed the beds separated upon arrival. Little storage for suitcases, typical two-part motel hangers, I brought my own. Tiny fridge but the steward must remove their overpriced things to utilize. Balcony okay with two chairs and a small table. We did string a line for clothes drying as the one in the shower was too small. Best thing about the cabin, to my way of thinking, is the divided bathroom. Central sink/mirror with a sliding door shower to the left and sliding door commode on the right. Nice shower fixture with great water pressure. Brought our own soaps, shampoos etc. NCL's private island was nice but get an early tender ticket. Lounge chairs go fast and the clamshell cabanas sell out quickly. Brought my own fins, snorkel etc to avoid renting. Signs all over indicating a buoyancy vest must be rented but nobody enforced the rule. Not really very deep either and there were some brightly colored fish. Barbecue was pretty standard though lines were long and flies a nuisance. Every five minutes someone approaches asking if you would like a drink from the bar. Have been to Nassau a few times before but we got off to shop. Took a cab to Atlantis just to see the aquarium and it was worth the short drive. Back on board, liquor confiscated to be returned the last day onboard, we noticed big changes in the buffet. Now everyone is served, no longer help yourself. Even coffee and water must be served as the area is roped off. Captain announces they're just being careful keeping everything clean but I did notice an ambulance disembarking in NYC and a couple of people being wheeled off. All in all a fun trip, the entertainment being the best part. Great singing and dancing, fun comics and an outstanding juggler. Far too crowded though, way too many people for the staff to handle. Did sign up for the Cruise Rewards though leaving a deposit for our next. Four years to decide and a $100 onboard credit now. Good deal.
