I didn't choose the cruise - a friend had already chosen it and asked me to come. After leaving Melbourne we had so many activities to choose from each day we had to choose carefully to fit them all in. At night the entertainment was spectacular. We were prepared to skip dinner if necessary rather than miss one.

On shore we selected tours if Hop On buses were not available. We saw dolphins, fur seals and the smallest penguins around Akaroa. Bus tours to picture postcard perfect bays, shuttle buses taking us from port to town where necessary.

We were disappointed not to be able to fit in a visit to Christchurch and sorry the ship did not call at Auckland, but we did see a wonderful Maori village and Princess provided lots of information sessions aboard ship prior to our arrival.
