We just returned from a 12 day cruise and as usual had the time of our lives. Though the ship is small by today's standards, it was well kept up and pleasant. The overall service is way beyond other cruise lines in our experience, and we have sailed on RC probably 7 times. This was our 17th cruise.

Embarkation, even at the peak time, was fairly quick (about 45 minutes) and very well organized. Baltimore is one of our favorite ports to leave from in this regard. Once on board we ate at the buffet and were in our rooms with our luggage by 1:30. During the entire cruise we were impressed with the quality and friendliness of the service. Royal Caribbean just seems to us to be a cut above the rest. We lucked out weather wise with 11 days being gorgeous. Although we selected a small interior cabin on this trip for the value, it was laid out to accommodate storage for the way too much stuff we always pack. We were comfortable and not too cramped.

At sea days were wonderful, and we chose to do a bunch of nothing by the pool. AS usual you have to get there by 10 am to stake out deck chairs. We went to St, Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and St. Marteen. Our excursions, booked through the ship, were Segways/beach on St. Lucia, and Sting Ray City on Antigua. Two others got cancelled, one due to rough waves. The Segways were a blast and easy to maneuver up and down the mountain roads. Gorgeous views and a small group with wonderful staff were highlights of this trip. The snorkeling was disappointing. Sting Ray City on Antigua also offered great staff and a fun time holding and feeding these beautiful creatures. We booked through the ship as prices were comparable to privately and we didn't want to worry about getting back in time.
