We boarded the Constellation in Dover for the British Isles cruise. Arriving early, our boarding was smooth and fast and organized. The sky suite was nicer and roomier than our similar suite on Mercury last year. Our butler couldn't have been better. He was a professional butler and decided to take to the seas.
The food was better than Mercury. There was only one bad meal in 14 nights. The waiter was better prepared with more experience. And the sushi bar on the 10th deck was wonderful as a little bonus. We had lunches in the aquaspa each day after a stay in the hot tub (at sea). The meals were light but very tasteful. Lots of salmon. And our butler gave us an excellent breakfast in our suite every morning. We liked the idea of lounging over pots of coffee first thing without having to make conversations with strangers in the dining room. We ate in the special reserved dining room twice; it's good that we didn't eat there more as I would have gained even more weight for the cruise.
We liked the cruise so much that we booked a transatlantic crossing for November 2005 from Barcelona on the sister ship. And we upgraded to a Celebrity Suite; the price for the transatlantic even with the upgrade was only 60% of the cost of the July cruise. My wife likes the fact that there will be seven sea days on this crossing as she got spoiled on the sea days at the spa with facials and massages. It's a pleasure to feel so relaxed and see her so relaxed.
