Cabin:

Picked this cruise to go to Antarctica in a reasonable amount of time. My group was younger than the average age, so getting 2 weeks away from work is quite the feat for us. Only vacation I have taken in 2.5 years, and it was nice, but a lot of little things would have made it spectacular.

For starters, the ship is a bit older. But pretty clean. Except in the cabins. Our cabin service was so bad that some days we had no towels and would have to ask our friends if they could get their steward to bring us some. Our shower curtain was filthy, covered in mold and yellowed. I wouldn't know about robes, we never saw any. As an older ship, it didn't have as much well planned storage that we've enjoyed on other Celebrity ships. Which is a lot when you have 12 days at sea.

That's right. We had 2.5 port days canceled out of 4. We were notified a few days before the trip that one port was canceled because the ship was slowed down due to mechanical issues. Once aboard, we were told we'd be missing most of our second port because the ship was slow. Instead of spending a full day in the port, we arrived around 4, and took our animal tours in the dark, after restaurants and shops had closed. Little did we know that was the last time we'd be on land for another week.
