The cabin staff took really good care of us with some special needs. Our main fellow was Kariwan. Really good. The cruise was so much fun. Much needed change of pace for us. I liked getting the daily newsletter and hearing the morning announcements about what kind of ID and currency was needed for the day as well of the reminder about what time the ship was leaving. We got to sit on the veranda and watch the sea, or look at the port of call and draw. We are land locked where we live so the very turquoise water was beautiful. The excursions are a cursory view of the islands. We got to swim at St. Croix and hike the rain forest in Antigua which was a private excursion (we rented a taxi for 2 hours). We also swam at Guadalupe. Got to see Ponce de Leon's tomb in Puerto Rico. My husband so enjoyed the World Cafe, king crab legs, gelato and foreign beer every night, and I so enjoyed the variety of chocolate desserts. I was able to go to the ship's theater almost every night for some song and dance numbers as well as liar's poker. Missed some of the cultural talks, but enjoyed the classical music trio. Got to watch the AFC Playoffs by the pool on the big screen TV. Lots of cheering. We don't gamble and so were not missing casinos. No rowdy behavior by guests although a lot of fun with the singing and dancing at the pool for Beatles night. Went swimming in the infinity pool, met terrific people from all over the country as well as the United Kingdom. Got to go on a submarine and Catamaran. Lovely shopping in St. Thomas. We had gone on a Viking River cruise, but this is our first ocean cruise. Thank you Viking for making an up casual experience with no pressure. What a fun and unexpected surprise to get to go. Saw a notice on January 6th in my email. Discussed it with my husband for a day. Booked on January 7th. Very competent staff for booking. The dates worked out and we could go on January 16th. We had a marvelous time. I would have never gone to the Caribbean on my own planned excursion. This was great. The size of the ship compared to others that were in dock with us was better. I like it that there are no interior rooms. Every room has a veranda. The organization of the tours in comparison to others ships that were in dock was better just by looking at what was happening on the dock. This was a fine time. Air fare was included. Gratuities were extra, and we even did a little more for the helpers that went above and beyond. Everyone who had worked other lines seemed to feel very lucky to have landed a job with Viking. The ship is very clean, the staff really terrific, The binoculars were of a good quality that I used in several ports. It is a little old for me in that I am an adventurous 61 year old, but for my husband who is less outgoing and 66, it was wonderful. I recommend it highly, and will do so with my friends and relatives. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Great! Enjoyed the movies bridge camera, special events,Daily Viking and the BBC news. Our American news channels were pretty one sided, so avoided them.
