Having done Scenic from Amsterdam to Budapest, this cruise caught our attention. Because it was an area of the world we had not been to before and we had already done one cruise in Europe with Scenic.
The whole trip was wonderful from start to finish. As flights were included, we flew on Cathay Pacific and arrived in Saigon with no problems. The transportation to the hotel was quick and efficient. We arrived around noon and our room was ready. Which was great as we quickly freshened up and went exploring and found a quick bite to eat. We met our guide Ngoc and the group we would be spending time with for dinner that night. Dinner was a set menu and very tasty.
The land tours/portions (Saigon and Siem Reap) were excellent. The local guides used in Cambodia were a wealth of knowledge. Ngoc our Vietnam guide and Tour Rep on the ship was also a wealth of knowledge and always made sure we were doing well.
The food from start to finish was excellent. Never lacked for something to eat. The good on the ship was well varied and plentiful.
The staff was excellent on the ship. Always eager to serve and made sure you had a good time.
The tours were informative, enlightening and all around excellent. Riding around in a Tuk Tuk or the Ox cart was fun. Safety was always the main concern on any tour. Especially when crossing any of the busy streets or walking over uneven ground.
Overall had a great trip and would highly recommend it.
The room was a spacious room with a good size bathroom. There were two windows that opened up. One was where the beds were and the other in a separate sitting room. There was a couch, desk and small table with two chairs. The sitting room could be separated from the bedroom but we never did. The closet was a good size for clothes, had small fridge that was stocked daily and a large then normal safe that was in one of the drawers.
