The ports visited on the "From The Caribbean To Amazon" cruise need more planning. The ports visited on the Amazon were filthy and crime ridden. Three passengers were accosted; two had necklaces ripped off their necks and a man was beaten with a Viking Cruise umbrella. Prior to landing, lectures were given describing the ports. Not every passenger attends these lectures. Along with the Daily Calendar, written warnings should be put into every stateroom. The port brochure does not describe the ports accurately. If it did, no one would go. If Viking cannot bring people into safer areas on included excursions, passengers should be alerted it might be better for them to buy an excursion. The ship, however, and the crew were AMAZING! We are taking this ship again in 2019 on the "Viking Homelands" cruise. The stateroom was clean, roomy enough for us, food was spectacular and the crew was professional, personable and fun.
Response from VikingS, Community Team
Great room service. Large enough.
