We wished to try this new ship as we are veteran cruisers. Ship met and exceeded all our expectations. Food wonderful except Chef's Table tasting menu where the food was overly salted (almost inedible) and wines did not match dishes. Even though no extra charge it was not worth wasting an evening. The entertainment was of very high quality with wonderful singers and dancers. Enrichment speakers were very good. Free excursions were very nice. Shore excursion personnel did not have good knowledge about excursions, particularly unaware of problems for people with restricted mobility. We raised complaints about the excursion issues and the Chef's Table disaster problems but these complaints were never responded to us by staff.

Food and service in main dining room was excellent. Buffet was also excellent with wide choices and very limited lines due to efficient organization of multiple stations.

Nevertheless, I would cruise with Viking Seas again.
